The holiday "Oyacha"
Oyacha is a traditional Mari dessert shaped like small dough balls. In the lead-up to Family, Love, and Fidelity Day, it becomes a symbol of the holiday itself: the same number of people gather for "Oyacha" as there are dough balls in a large dish, and they all gather in one place.

    Kukmar, Soviet district
On July 4, the village of Kukmar in the Sovietsky District will be transformed into a vast, sweet meadow: the "Oyacha" festival will take place there.

The central event will be the second district festival of theatrical performances, "Oyacha." The grand opening will begin with a theatrical skit, "The Birth of the Oyach," followed by:
  • fun theatrical game programs for children and adults;
  • a tasting area featuring the national dish, Oyach;
  • an arts and crafts exhibition, "Master's Hands";
  • a tour of the North-Eastern mini-football championship among veterans;
  • a quest-journey, "In Search of the Oyach";
  • photo zones and mobile vendors.
The celebration will conclude with a shared lunch at the "Lashka shër" friendship table — all participants will be treated to a delicious hot treat.

"Oyacha" in Kukmar – It's about family communication, games, movement, and, of course, homemade sweets, which so easily start a good summer memory.
