The Museum Educational Center in Yoshkar-Ola is a space for educational recreation and creativity of children and adults. Here you can get acquainted with the history and culture of Mari El through a game, choose a master class, attend a performance or take part in a creative project.
The center, formerly known as the Children's Museum Center, is located on the ground floor of the Museum of History and Archeology on the Malaya Kokshaga embankment. This is one of the sites of the Timofey Evseev National Museum of the Republic of Mari El.
What to do
- Try new things at the master class. Creative activities allow you to get acquainted with materials and techniques and create your own work.
- Go on a quest tour. Game tasks help you get carried away with history and look at museum objects as keys to discoveries. To
- watch a play or performance. The center hosts puppet shows, theatrical programs and concerts. Get

Continue your acquaintance with the history of Mari El
The same building houses the expositions of the Museum of History and Archeology. On the second floor there is an "Ethnoarchaeology: from Imniscaris to Marie", dedicated to the history of the people, decorations and costumes. On the third — "Mari region. Historical Milestones", which tells about the life of the region from the 16th century to the present.
How to plan a visit
Select a program from the museum's poster and specify the time, age of participants, cost and conditions of registration. A visit to the center can be combined with a walk along the embankment and acquaintance with the expositions of the Museum of History and Archeology.
