"Peledysh payrem" is an integral part of the national culture of the Mari people.
Since 2017, the Peledysh Fest tourism festival: All the Colors of Recreation has been held as part of the holiday, and not only traditional venues (folklore, sports, a concert of Mari pop stars, etc.) are open, but new events are also included in the program – an open-air literary lounge, the Rainbow Bridge Festival of national cultures, performance of the Mari El State Ensemble.
The event is attended by creative teams fr om all regions of the republic, as well as regions wh ere Mari lives compactly outside its borders. The extensive geography of the participants provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the variety of song, dance, decorative and applied art, national costume of various ethnographic groups of Mari. In addition, the program of the event introduces the audience to the cultural heritage of the people, and gives an idea of the current state of vocal and choreographic art, cultural phenomena in the style of "ethno".
