Lake Shap is a small round lake of karst origin, located among a mixed pine-birch forest. It is located between the valleys of the Bolshaya and Malaya Kokshaga rivers. The depth of the lake reaches 13.5 meters, and the size, according to some sources, is 362 by 306 meters.

get to Shap along the Kokshay highway. The
eastern part is wild and low-lying, sometimes swampy. There are five large artificially created beaches on the coastal zone, entrance to them is paid.
In
summer, you can swim and fish in the lake, and pick mushrooms and berries in the surroundings; in winter, the lake and the surrounding area are great for skiing in the snow-covered forest, ice skating and sledding.
