The Ice Palace "Mari-Turek"

The construction of the ice palace in the very center of Mari-Turek began in September 2009 and lasted a little less than two years. The grand opening took place on September 1, 2011. There are no indoor ice arenas in the entire north-east of the Republic of Mari El, so the opening of the facility was very important for the development and popularization of sports in the districts.

The

ice arena meets all European quality standards and allows hosting competitions of various levels. Now the palace is a center for the development of ice sports and a favorite place for active recreation among the residents of the district.
