The Ferris Wheel attraction in Yoshkar-Ola is not just a popular attraction, but a real observation deck in the city center. From a height of 40 meters, the panorama of the historical quarters and the embankment opens. And since 2024, the wheel has also become the largest light screen in the city. Do you want to see Yoshkar-Ola from a new perspective?
The history of the Ferris Wheel, as we can see it today, began in 2014. Then the old wheel was dismantled in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation and a new Ferris Wheel-40 attraction complex was launched on the site of the abandoned summer theater. The project has become one of the largest updates to the park in recent years and has quickly become a point of attraction for residents and tourists.
The wheel is equipped with 18 closed cabins. Each is equipped with a security system, heater and air conditioning. This allows you to work all year round, both in winter and summer. The duration of one lap is about 7 minutes. During this time, you will have time to see the city center, the green alleys of the park and the nearest streets.
In 2024, the object received a second life: the entire plane of the wheel was equipped with a modern light and music system with remote control. The presentation took place on June 1, the Children's Day. Today, the Ferris Wheel in Yoshkar-Ola participates in city celebrations as a full-fledged media platform.
The area of the light screen is about 700 sq. m. The system includes more than 15,000 LEDs and over 3 km of communication lines. The image is stabilized in a horizontal position even during rotation. This illumination format is considered unique for Russia.
