The Valenka Festival introduces guests to folk traditions and customs. The event has become one of the most exciting events of the winter in the Republic of Mari El. During the holiday, fun fairs and exhibitions of felt boots and other wool products are held, workshops on felting felt boots from leading craftsmen of the republic, tastings of national Mari cuisine, national winter games and competitions.
