Gyron Bydton is a Udmurt ceremonial festival held in the village of Bolshoy Karlygan in Mari-Turek district. This holiday is known to almost all ethnic groups of the Udmurts, although the names may be different: Gerber (after the plow), Gershid (literally: Geri shid, i.e. porridge in honor of the plow), Gyron bydton (completion of plowing). This calendar holiday is held in the meadow at the most beautiful time - during the flowering period, usually the beginning of July.
The holiday program includes a wide fair, performances by creative teams of Mari El and Tatarstan, fun games, contests, competitions, as well as tasting of Udmurt national dishes and drinks, festivities and an ethnic disco.
