Peledysh Payrem in Sernur
On June 13, 2026, Sernur will celebrate Peledysh Payrem, one of the main holidays of the Mari people. Almost a century ago, in 1920, the idea of this celebration was proposed by a native of the Sernur district, writer, poet and playwright A. F. Konakov. Since then, "Peledysh Payrem" has become not just a calendar date, but a day when the Mari culture is revealed in all its diversity.
