Winter is still holding out, but we are ready to spend it according to all the rules — noisy, fun and folk-like. This is what our ancestors have been doing for a long time: they held festivities, led round dances, treated themselves and "let go" of winter so that spring would come sooner. These good traditions formed the basis of the folklore holiday "Seeing off Winter".
This year, as in the past, the festivities will be held at several venues. This will allow everyone to choose a place for a family vacation to their liking.
A rich program awaits the guests: cultural events, play areas, concerts and many outdoor activities.
The festival will feature folk games, songs and dances, round dances and Carnival fun. Guests will be treated to pancakes and other goodies. The culmination will be the traditional burning of an effigy, symbolizing the farewell to winter and the meeting of spring.
