The idea of holding a ballet art festival in honor of the great Russian ballerina Galina Ulanova on the stage of the Mari State Opera and Ballet Theater named after E. Sapaev originated in 2002.
This unique project has become a true asset not only of the Republic. Mari El, but also the cultural space of the whole country.
In April, a special spiritual atmosphere of music, dance, grace, and plasticity prevails at the Opera and Ballet Theater. A crowded auditorium acquires a high energy, forming a common culture and attitude towards art, primarily among youth and children's audiences.
Artists from the best Russian and foreign theaters are invited to participate in the festival performances. Over the years, the festival has established itself as a major choreographic forum, where the stars of the Bolshoi Ballet of Russia, the Mariinsky Theater, South Korea, Spain, and Japan shone with their skills. The young ballet troupe of the E.Sapaev Opera and Ballet Theater consistently confirms its high professional level. The
