Shanavyl Festival - Seven Colors, Seven Notes
On June 5, the Shanavel Festival of Children's Creativity will bring together young performers, dancers, storytellers and masters of decorative and applied arts.

The festival helps children and teenagers to feel like a part of folk culture, to hear and show the diversity of traditions of the peoples living in our republic and in Russia, to learn to respect and understand each other through creativity.

Kindergarten students and schoolchildren are invited to participate. The participants will perform in several age groups, and the competition program will be held in the following categories:

  • "Folk song" (including the author's song, which became folk)
  • "Ensembles of folk instruments"
  • "Folk dance"
  • "Theatricalization of folk rituals, traditions, legends, fairy tales".

During the day, guests and participants are expected to:

  • grand opening of the festival is an
  • exhibition of children's works of decorative and applied art and photographs ,
  • competitive auditions and screenings in the following categories ,
  • master classes in folk art, where children will be able to try their hand at crafts and create a work with their own hands , a
  • round table with the participation of the organizers of the festival and the heads of creative teams of the Volga Federal District
  • Closing ceremony: gala concert and awarding of laureates and participants.

The Shanavel – Seven Colors, Seven Notes Ethnofestival is open to the public: the whole family can come here to spend a day at the museum, listen to live folk music, see dances and rituals, support children performing and participate in master classes.
