The Pugachev Oak is located on the territory of the Mari Chodra. In 1969, the Pugachev Oak was declared a valuable forest site of historical significance, and in commemoration of the bicentennial of the Pugachev Uprising in 1974, a memorial stone with an inscription was erected on this site, and the Oak was taken under protection. The oak differs in its size from all the nearby trees. The giant has a diameter of 159 cm and a height of 26 meters. The oak tree is 500 years old. It is said that one of Pugachev's detachments camped near this oak tree before the last march on Kazan back in 1774. From its top, the dashing chieftain allegedly looked at the road to Kazan.

The largest spring, the Green Key, is also located on the territory of the Mari Chodra Park. The water in it rises from the bottom of a two-meter funnel and flows out from under the base of the Maple Mountain. Next to it (literally 20 meters) is a Boiling area, which is a small lake with a sandy bottom, which seems to be boiling from a dozen springs gushing from the ground - with a total water mineralization of 2.3 g/l. Both streams merge into the Ilet and are a hydrogeological monument of nature of federal rank.

There is a Sea Eye lake in the Volzhsky district near the village of Shariboksad. The lake was formed as a result of a sinkhole about 20 thousand years ago. The lake is interesting for its location on the mountainside, great depth with small size and unusual green color. The average depth is 37 m, the area is 2,900 sq. m. The tourist complex "Sea Eye Lake" was included in the Seven Wonders of Russia in 2007 (the competition was announced by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Smena magazine).
