The city of Volzhsk

The emergence of Volzhsk is associated with the close proximity of the forest area and the construction of woodworking plants. The economy and fate of the city were determined by the construction of the Marbum Combine in 1938, which has all-Union significance. The construction of the Marbum plant has become a city-forming factor: housing construction has developed, and there is a need to build public utilities, kindergartens, and schools. With the launch of the giant of the industrial industry, the village of Lopatino was further developed, which in 1940 received the status of the city of Volzhsk.
