28 small rivers flow through the Kuzhenersky district, the total length of which is about 350 kilometers. Among them, the most famous are Nemda, Yushut, Orishut, Shoyka and Lazh. The most popular among tourists are the Kamennaya Gora springs, the “Childhood”, “U Vanya” and “Youth” springs, as well as the picturesque “Crystal Spruce” and the “Fox Mountain” spring in the village of Kuzhener.****

In the 1980s, excavations were carried out here, and objects of the 17th–18th centuries were found, and in the vicinity of the village of Kuzhener, burial mounds of the Abashevo culture, dating back thousands of years, were discovered.****
